How to solve Application Crashing Issues in Mi A1, Mi A2, Mi A3, Redmi Go ?

 


                                                      




 Troubleshooting steps to be performed if there are application crashing issues in Mi A1, Mi A2, Mi A3, Redmi Go Or any Xiaomi Devices based on stock android 

Identify whether the device lags while using a particular app or under normal use circumstances.

 

If the issue is caused while using a particular app, please follow the below steps:

 

1.Reboot the Device -Rebooting the device will close all the  running apps & processes, Re-initializes hardware drivers

and it will trigger the updates

2. Check for System Updates -Settings > About Phone > System Updates > Check for Updates

3. Check for App Updates -Play Store > Tap on ‘More’ Option > My Apps & Games > Check for Updates

4. Check Storage and free up space -<10% of free storage space may cause instability issue.

( To cleanup the storage files, navigate to Settings > Storage )

5. Force Stop the application which is crashing -Force stopping an app will completely shuts the app down and stop any background services

that may address the symptoms

Settings > Apps > Tap and Open the app which is crashing > Force Stop

6. Clear App Cache -Deletes the temporary files that may have become corrupted and causing a conflict

Settings > Apps > Tap and Open the app which is crashing > Storage > Clear Cache

7. Clear app data -Deletes stored data that may have become corrupted or causing a conflict

Settings > Apps > Tap and Open the app which is crashing > Storage > Clear Data

8. Uninstall and Re-install the apps -This is not a fix, but removing the app that’s misbehaving should address the symptoms.

 

Note: For Built-in apps - Uninstall the updates & retest. If the symptoms continue, disable the app.

 

If the app still continues to crash, report in the Feedback app.
