How to resolve If internet is not working in Mi , Redmi and Poco Phone?


 

Troubleshooting steps to be followed if mobile data is not working on Xiaomi Phones.

What should you do if the phone does not connect to the internet when on mobile data?

Solution:

1.) Ask the customer to open settings/toggles and check if internet data in enabled.

2). Ask the customer to open a webpage on a browser to check if the internet works.

3). Find out from settings if the APN exists or if the right APN is being used.

4). If 3G/4G is not working, ask them to select Prefer LTE/Prefer 3G from settings.

5). Ask the customer to use this SIM card on the other slot or another phone to see if internet works.

6). Find out what version of MIUI is being used, ask them to update to the latest version and reboot. Ask them to check if the interent works now.

 

Troubleshooting:

1). Swipe down to open toggles>>Turn on Mobile Data.                  

2). Settings>>Mobile Network Settings/Preffered Network Type>>Prefer LTE/Prefer 3G.

3).Settings>>About Phone>> System Updates

 

If above steps doesn't resolve the issue, please follow below steps to ensure the data is not restricted on mobile data.

  1. Open Security App.

  2. Tap on DATA icon, which exists near the Cleaner icon.

  3. Now Choose Restrict data usage.

  4. Make sure all select all App you want to give data access. Separate option Mobile data /WiFi available.

 

Note: The customer must have activated mobile data on the SIM card and should have an active internet pack for internet to work on the phone. Please ask them to reach out to their network provider if all the above are done and internet still does not work on the phone.
