How to find your lost Xiaomi phone?

There are two ways to find the lost Xiaomi phone

  • Locate via Mi Cloud
  • Locate via Google account

Locate Via Mi Cloud: To locate the lost phone via Mi cloud below conditions should be true.

  • The phone should be signed in with the Mi account.
  • The internet connection should be ON in the phone.
  • Make sure the Find device option is enabled in the Mi Cloud settings on your phone.

If above conditions are true, then please follow the below steps:

  • Go to  https://i.mi.com/
  • Sign in with MI account linked with the lost device
  • Click on Find Device option

 

 

  • Click the "x device connected" link to confirm the status of your phone is Online.
  • You will find few options like Sound, Lost Mode and Erase Data.

 

 

Kindly follow the Steps:

 

 

Ring your device remotely:

1. On the find device page, click Sound.

2. On the Sound prompt, click the play button.

3. The phone will play the default alarm sound at the highest volume until you manually disable it on the phone by using your PIN.

 

Lock you device remotely:

1. On the Find Device page, click the lost mode.

2. Enter the comments which you want to be displayed on the phone screen and lock the device.

The phone will become fully non-functional.

3. If you find your phone, enter the Mi account password. Upon successfully unlocking, the screen lock security will be set to none.

 

Erase your Data:

1. On the Find Device page, click on Erase data. This operation will permanently remove all data from

your device and disconnect it from this account. You can't reverse this action!

 

 

Locate via Android Device Manager (Google account): To locate the lost phone via Android Device Manager below conditions should be true.

  • The phone should be signed in with the Google Account.
  • The internet connection should be ON in the phone.
  • The location should be turned on.

If above conditions are true, then please follow the below steps:

 

 

  • If you have more than one device, click the lost device at the top of the screen.
  • On the map, see about where the device is.
  • The location is approximate and may not be accurate.
  • If your device can't be found, Find My Device will show its last known location, if available.

 

  • Pick what you want to do. If needed, first click Lock & erase.
Play sound
  • Rings your device at full volume for 5 minutes, even if it's set to silent or vibrate.
Secure Device
  • Lock your device with your PIN, pattern, or password. If you didn't have a lock, you can set one.
  • You can add a recovery message or phone number to the lock screen.
Erase
  • permanently deletes all data on your device. (It may not delete SD cards.) After you erase,
  • Find My Device won't work on the device.

Important: If you find your device after erasing, you'll likely need your Google Account password to use it again.

Note: In case, 'Find My Device' feature was not activated or unable to locate the device, please follow your local laws & regulations with regards to a lost mobile phone.
