How to setup MI Smart Speaker with Mobile phone or Tablet?
Setting up Smart Speaker & Usage Instructions
What you need to get started?
1. Mi Smart Speaker
2. A Google Account
3. A mobile phone or tablet that
- Has Android 5.0 or later. / iOS 10.0 or later
- Works with 2.4 GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi network (a WPA-2 Enterprise network won't work)
- Has Bluetooth turned on.
4. An internet connection and secure wireless network.
Getting Started
All of the settings and controls during the setup process are carried out through the Google Home app, so you’ll need to download it to your phone or tablet.
Go into the app store on your device.
On iOS this is the App Store and on Android devices it is the Google Play Store.
Once in the store, search for Google Home and when you find the correct app, download and install it.
Sign-in with a Google Account
PROCEDURE:
Launch Google Home App & Tap ‘+’ (Add) button
Tap on Set up device
Select Set up new device in your home
Choose from existing Home or Create a New one & Tap Next
Google Home will start looking for any compatible device
Once Mi Smart Speaker is found, tap Yes
Wait for Google Home to connect to Mi Smart Speaker
Once connection is established you’ll hear a Sound. Tap Yes
Opt In or Out for Experience Improvement Program
Choose or create a new location for Speaker in your Home
Choose the Wi-Fi network to use with your Mi Smart Speaker
Wait for the Connection to Complete
Agree to Google’s T&C’s to use Google Assistant
Train or Activate the Voice for Google Assistant
If you already trained voice Assistant will notify you
Opt In or Out to Save your Search Audio for better Service
Choose the Music Service for Assistant to Play Music
Link the Video Service for Assistant to Play Videos
Review your Setup info and Tap Continue
Tap Continue to Start using the Mi Smart Speaker
